LIQUID EXTRACT OF VERMICOMPOST

WHAT IS A LIQUID EXTRACT OF VERMICOMPOST?

In addition to producing vermicompost, vermicomposting also produces a juice resulting from the decomposition of manure.

The activity of earthworms releases a liquid. The latter percolates through the vermicompost and is loaded with fertilizing elements and then flows to the base of the vermicompost. It is this more or less dark brown liquid that we call percolate (or worm juice or worm tea or vermithe). It is therefore very concentrated in nutrients, minerals and trace elements which make it an excellent 100% natural fertilizer!

Very popular in some places, compost tea is well used on organic and conventional farms all over the world. It plays an important role in starting and monitoring several crops in greenhouses or in the open field.

Compost tea represents both a way to complement the role of compost in fertilization, and a way to improve the useful microflora on plants as a means of preventing various diseases.
